SCP-178 or "3-D Specs" is a euclid class SCP item in SCP: Containment Breach Unity Edition. It was added in version 0.5.5
Description[]
SCP-178 is a pair of white stereoscopic ("3-D") glasses with a rectangular white cardboard frame and lenses of transparent blue and red (left and right lenses, respectively) plastic. The item exhibits no unusual physical properties apart from a slight discoloration of the cardboard consistent with age. When worn, the wear begins perceiving larger bipedal entities in addition to its ordinary surroundings. Entities reportedly exhibit docile and occasionally curious behavior, with one exception. Any attempt by wearer or any other personnel to directly interact with the entities results in severe lacerations suddenly appearing on persons involved.
In-game[]
SCP-178 can be found in its containment chamber. When worn, the player has a slight, stereoscopic discoloration in their view. After a fairly short time, SCP-178-1 instances will appear. Any attempt to directly interact with SCP-178-1 will result in multiple instances spawning and proceeding to chase and kill the player.
When the player takes off SCP-178, SCP-178-1 instances will still attack (only after it has been interacted with.) The only way to stop them from attacking the player is to get a considerably long distance away from these instances. However, in the future there will be no escape.

SCP-178-1 is a harmful entity in SCP: Containment Breach Unity Edition. It was added in version 0.5.7.
In-game[]
SCP-178-1 is only able to be viewed through SCP-178. If any attempt to interact with SCP-178-1 is made, which currently consists solely of touching it, all instances of SCP-178-1 will begin to pursue the player relentlessly. They will not cease their chase until the player either dies or gets a considerable distance away from where they put the glasses on. In the future, not even this will stop the SCP-178-1 instances, and they will continue to pursue for the entirety of the game.

- It has been discussed if wearing SCP-178 could reveal several clues/hints that allow for further story progression. Although, no definite story has been figured out for the game yet.
